Ask the Expert
Here you find answers to some of the more frequently asked questions that we receive. We hope that this can be a useful resource to you. If you have a question that you think should be on here, please use the form at the bottom of the page.

02/05/2001 : Albert Asks : "...What happens to my old 8mm films after they have been transferred to video..."
Answer : All of your old films are cleaned during the transfer process. The information on the films is "copied" to video or DVD. The original films are returned to you, clean and ready for another 50+ years of storage. We recommend storing them in a dark dry room temperature closet.

02/06/2001 : Cindy Asks : "...How much does a wedding video cost?"
Answer : As mentioned on our "wedding page", you generally get what you pay for when it comes to videography. As professional wedding videographers, we often compare our services to decisions like buying a house or car. Each of which, offers various levels of quality and price. Please e-mail us directly for a custom quote. Thank You!

02/07/2001 : Phil Asks : "...why don't you have video samples on your web site?"
Answer : Unless you have a cable modem or extremely high connection speed, streaming video is generally very choppy, slow and in my opinion frustrating. Streaming video has great potential, but until the technology improves, we are choosing to stay away from it. We gladly send out actual video sample tapes to our potential clients. Thank You!

07/30/2001 : Theo Asks : "...why should I choose a wedding video? I like what still photos have to offer..."
Answer : Excellent point. We feel very strongly that there is a place for both video and still photos at your event. Think of this, though. Imagine that I could offer to you a modern day photo album of your Grandparent's wedding day, or a modern day video with CD quality sound and crystal clear images. You must choose only one. Which one would you choose? Luckily, you can choose both. With today's DVD technology, your Great-Grandchildren will likely be given that exact opportunity which I have illustrated. So be sure to call your professional photographer... right after you've called us! Best Wishes!

02/20/2002 : Ben Asks : Do your DVD's play on all DVD players?
Answer : The DVD media we currently use (as with all video companies) is DVD-R. This is the only format available to burn small quanities of DVD's. The DVD-R format offers DVD quality and duribility. Approximately 90% of all new DVD players are compatible with DVD-R. Some older units or new low cost (off brand) units may not be compatible. 100% compatiblitly is soon expected. You can trust that your DVD will be compatible for many years to come.
